A blog for Catholic men that seeks to encourage virtue, the pursuit of holiness and the art of true masculinity.
Today, John, Devin, and Sam answer the nagging thought that money will make life better. That if only you had more money you could accomplish things in life, not have to worry so much, and finally be happier. The concerns with money affect all of us and having a clear guide to why Christ spoke about this sin more than any other is needed today. We discuss the modern mindset as it relates to money, how to view money through God’s eyes, and the way forward to live a truly happier life.
Finally, each week we are going to answer one of your questions during the podcast. This week we have a question from a young man who does not have a father to look up to. If you have any questions, please, record yourself on your phone and send us the audio clip to podcast@catholicgentleman.com. Or just send us your question and we will read it on air.

Robert De Leon says
Funny my priests sermon last night (All Saints) started by saying our goal in life is not to be rich.
So when I read the headline of the article, I immediately said “no”….but will still listen lol.

It was Pope Leo XIII who said that after all our needs are met for a dignified household, the rest of what we own belongs to the poor! Ouch. Here is an excellent video showing popes, the Church fathers, and Archbishop Sheen talking about it, but beginning with Pope Francis’ words on Communism: https://youtu.be/z9VZ7wfLRv8?si=IO06_KUzXxOyjI80
