I love it. Thanks for bringing this to the forefront.

Hi, I have a question. How does one help a man who – having acknowledged his father did not provide the best leadership at home (tyrannical, speaks for every family member, is judgemental, and displayed a sense of disdain for his own son and accomplishments…) these kinds of childhood and growing up slights still more or less continues into young adulthood – struggles now with finding good male role models, and even developing deep spiritual friendships with people (especially guys)?
This man has recently discovered the Catholic faith but it has been an uphill task in nurturing this faith. As a partner, I am wondering how I can support him and help him create opportunities in meeting friends, other than through my own prayers. It has been somewhat hard because he is also very introverted. It has been very trying to be supportive as I’m extroverted and see friendships as vital to a healthy self esteem and a form of spiritual accounting and feedback for my own growth. I’ve been sharing some of these arricles, but met with mostly lukewarm reactions. Some thoughts and your prayers are very much appreciated! God bless.
